Below is a link to a series of articles on what is probably the least-discussed, but nevertheless crucial aspect of (non-self-published) comic creation--the pitch. The articles are written by Platinum Studios Executive Editor Lee Nordling. I found them invaluable, and try not to miss an opportunity to point people who might be interested at them. platinumstudios.com/press/press.php?press_number=092903

That's some essential reading, Andrew, thanks for posting the link!
Would you be willing to regale us with tales of your own pitches to Platinum?
Cheers! -Derek

Would you be willing to regale us with tales of your own pitches to Platinum? I would, if someone was interested and had specific tales they wanted to be regaled with. There's so much to talk about there, I could ramble or rant for hours without hitting anything resembling a point. Might be worthwhile as personal catharsis, but I don't know that it'd be particularly useful to anyone else. But, like I say, if anyone wants to know anything specific about Platinum (other than minute details of the contract, which I'm legally unable to discuss, and almost certainly don't understand enough to describe with any sort of accuracy anyway), I'd be happy to talk about the company.
