uhh, I'm actually in favour of Temperance's place. XD Her walk-out basement totally rules, and there's a pool table and big TV. Oh, and cats. And a minimall nearby for people who need supplies or fast food. XD Short on table space, but nothing a few imported tables or trays can't fix. I mean, who here doesn't draw on a flat book or clipboard anyway? if you're still up for it that is, devo. I don't mean to advertise your space for you. Well okay, maybe I do. XD And yeah, I'm not so hip with the idea of splitting up either. :/ Too easy for people to drop out at the last minute.

I would like to keep the group together...that was the first choice. If we can plan a transportation solution-ie:car pool? Set up a meeting for pick-up?
This may have to go to vote.
Let me know.
Thank You.

I would like to have one big group as well, but without a place, its not gonna happen. Why don't we do the two group thing for this one, test out the waters and see what we can get done. We can do something different for the next one too. I mean, how many of these do we have planned?

I'm wondering if 5 people in the middle of Comic-kazi on a potentially very busy Saturday will be inconvenient. Verrryyy limited space in the store, also customers trying to get around us. If we end up sending one group to Northland Mall, maybe we can just stake out a table in the food court?

Hey kids, Shepherd here from HH in Edmonton. With our Jams, I usually hold on to the work, often posting it up in the store and posting online on our website (Triple G was kind enough to put a link to it on the first post but here it is again www.happyharborcomics.com/events/page_event_comicjam.html (not sure how to do the link thing yet). If the work can be held in a central location it could help the exposure. Also, as the weeks go by and we amass more material, the possibility of publishing some of the stuff is very real. If anyone is in town on a Jam night, stop in! We could probably even find a few places for people to crash (just give me a heads up!). Take care! The Shepherd

You must forgive Cil, but I no longer live there to offer that large basement space ^_^;
But I can still offer my current place up, and it's not out in the middle of nowhere! I now live in Country Hills. Just one cat, who we can stow elsewhere (for the allergic people). If people could bring hard surfaces to draw on, I have a few portable lights and we can scrounge up enough chairs for everyone, you are more than welcome to take the event to my place.

Thank you for the generous offer Temperance, but can we cordinate a transportation plan in less than a week?
Comic-Kazi and Red Skull Comics have granted us the space. Lets work with them for now, since they have been accomodating to our need.
I thought about having the group at the Public Library, ACAD cafeteria, MaC Hall...these are big enough to get us all at one table.Do we need special permission?
For now, the first MIC Jam is on Saturday, June 18th, 12:00 PM at CK & RSC...please check the list in previous entry for participant location.
Thanks...I want to make this work.

The number of participants will determine the panel and or page count. If we had 12 people we could have a two page story with six panels each.12 separate stories=24 pages=one book.
CK=Comic-Kazi RSC=Red Skull Comics We'll see how this goes...so far:
1-CogNoman-CK 2-Mr. Vince-CK 3-Snowman-CK 4-Temperance- RSC 5-GGG-RSC 6-Mr. Johnny-RSC 7-Cil-RSC 8-Mr Nick-RSC 9-Fiona-CK 10-trixingee -CK I may have to put a cap on at 12 or we end up with two groups? GarSeeYa!!! Is everyone GOOD with this arrangement? I opted for RSC just to balance the two groups. I will email everyone to re confirm, or you may respond before I contact you. 12:00 PM Saturday, June 18th! Thanks. GarSeeYa!!!

Hey Gerald,
this isn't really gonna take 4 hours, is it? Or is that just an approximation? I say this cause I'm wondering how many comics we're expecting to end up with.
In any event, I'm sending out a speciall(they're all special) Vicious Newsletter to bolster spectators, and possibly sales.

Mr. V
This all depends on the number of participants. Four Artists x 10 minutes per panel=40 minutes. Give time to hang and chat, maybe two hours.
I'll give you guys a call from Red Skull Comics for a meet time at Kinkos-North Hill Mall. Do the page exchange and take it from there.
Everyone please bring your own pages and drawing tools.Pocket change for photocopies.
We will see you Saturday, MIC members and other spectators are welcome to see us at work!
Thanks.

Everyone please bring your own pages and drawing tools. Hmm...what size should the pages be? I was just going to bring some 8.5 x 11 pages. Should I get 11 x 17 pages instead? And is it okay if they're just 'normal' paper instead of 'artsy' (ex: bristol board) paper?

Hey CG,
Normal paper is fine, just take into account some artist may be using art tools that may require something heavier. A pen nib can sometimes cut through #20 bond paper. Then again we can switch tools to make it work.
Having everything inked will make for a better presentation.
Thanks.

Mr. V This all depends on the number of participants. Four Artists x 10 minutes per panel=40 minutes. Give time to hang and chat, maybe two hours. Just caught this, if we do two pages it could be two hours. At RSC, there's only three of us so far (cofirmed) so it may take us an hour? 2 pages At 3 panels=30 minutes X 2 = 1 hour. If Cil and Temp don't make it out ,anybody up to pinch hit? G.
