Hey Everybody,
First JAM went very well. A few lumps in the jar, but it went on pretty smooth. We even had a bee in our Jam at Red Skull Comics...(I got it in a coffee cup. Mr Nick opened the back door, and I let it out in the rain.)
Please feel free to post some of the pages here. We will do this again...

Over at Comic-Kazi, the order went: CogNoman -- Chris (snowman) -- Fiona -- Mr. Vince -- trixingee As you've probably figured out, "Team Red Skull" chose to do 2-page comics, with each artist doing one panel and then passing it on. "Team Comic-Kazi" chose to do something different. We decided to not put a limit on the number of panels on the page - we'd just keep passing the comic around and drawing panels until the page was full. As a result, some of the comics have more panels than others. And, like "Team Red Skull", if an artist finished their panel really fast, they were allowed to draw a second (or a third, etc.) panel, as long as they passed it on once the 10 minutes were up. "Team Comic-Kazi" did 2 rounds of 1-page comics. The first round was just a free-for-all. For the second round, though, we decided to use a 'theme'. Mr. Vince suggested "Donut", and so we went with that. By the looks of things, it seems like each participant is going to post the comics that they each started, so, without further ado, I present to you "Sack Full of Hammers" (from the first round) and "Don't Not Eat the Donut!" (from the donut round). There's still 3 more 2-page comics from Redd Skull and 8 more 1-page comics from Comic-Kazi to come, so sit back and relax. It's about to get very weird in here...

sorry guys, I know I didn't show up ^_^ forgive me.
I kept putting off my RSVP in hopes I could finish pencilling my comic for Arcana first. I finished about 12:15 on Sunday, whereabout my arm fell off. So I screamed "My hand My hand!" and wept like a little girl. So really, I couldn't come to the Jam, because I was late... so very late.... oh, and my drawing hand fell off.
True story.

It's always very interesting to see how surreal these things turn out. It's like you all sat around and shared a joint. The scary part is that artists don't need the drugs. :-)

Yeah..yeah...joint effort...no smoking in a comic book store. Some of it turned out pretty twisted (esp Team CK), but cool to read. We will have more up, better to stretch this out?

Temp-
I edited the #, didn't want you getting any weird calls in the middle of the night.I will pass on the number to CIL.
To EVERYONE:An MIC phone list would help for MIC Jam & the BBQ. It is a more direct option for communication. If and when you confirm for these events, please PM or email phone #s to me.
Thank You.

Sorry for the delay, but here's the pages I started. Tada! Oh, and Ledsoul, Gerald organized this whole jam thing, from participants to the time to the place. Possibly before you got on board. We're planning more of these, so keep checking the forum for the announcements and sign-ups. Or you could organize your own.

I dunno about that Gerald, it might be cool to just chill, eat, talk and exchange sketchbooks.

I gotta agree with Vince, this BBQ should be more of a hang out and chat type thing ...
Lets not mix business with pleasure.

Actually, I was going to invite a bunch of MICers over to WesterCon for that jam--apparently they'll let participants in for specific panels without charge.
The Comic Jam takes place at noon on Sunday. I'll be taking part, so will Derek Mah--at least, that's what the current schedule tells me.
Anyone else who's interested, let me know ASAP and I'll try and get your name included.
Thanks!
