...I'd like to point you to the new "MIC Edmonton" section of the boards. Jay Bardyla at Happy Harbor Comics here in Edmonton is looking for suggestions on how he can A) sell your work, B) increase general comics awareness in Edmonton, and C) foster a creative community here in town.
I believe he's aiming to set up a series of creator appearances here through the month of August, but plans are fluid...nevertheless, if you've got a book you want people in Edmonton to see, Jay's someone you probably want to talk to--if you haven't already. I know a few of you have already made contact, but the more the merrier.

24HC and FCBD was a very good start to generate awareness. Cross promotions with movie previews (FF-Batman) may also bring in more people.
With the MIC experiment, I have the benefit of having established 10 years worth of contacts. If you find the most active comic creators in Edmonton they help out to spread the word. It has already started with24HC and HH Comic Jam. Communication is the key...MIC serves that purpose.
Invite more people to MIC, see what's going on down here. I've found the creative energy to be infectious... stimulating more work.
If I had something to sell/promote, I will contact Jay!
Thanks.

I think I've talked to Jay last year when I was promoting my FCBD entry book the Mask of the Gargoyle. I'd be happy to contact him as well, since I have a series of MOG books coming soon. August might be a good way to promote the first book, Digital Webbing Presents #24, to go and appear in different stores there. This is really very helpful Andrew. Thanks.
