Hey, I am still working hard trying to find my place in the Comic Book Industry, while there still is an Industry. I have been active in the Calgary Comic scene for over 10 years now. Starting at GRIFFIN- which never saw a book published. To SEARED OX, one book saw limited release. The good news is I finally saw some work in wide circulation with contributions in GENERAL JINJUR'S INDIES for a couple of strips, and DARWIN'S ISLAND a 72 GN @ Ape Entertainment and for artwork on A DIFFERENT PACE & PROMETHEUS RABBIT. Things are slowly progressing ,more work will come out from STUDIO RONIN on VARIED SCARIES their horror Anthology. What I would like to see is a studio start up in CALGARY. To create complete comic books to promote and show to potential publishers. I just want to get the right people together, start a dialogue at ground level. Thanks. GarSeeYa!!!

I just wanted to extend a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! To all the Mothers who have nurtured and encouraged our growing talent. Give your Mom a hug today! This is a little collaboration with my 17 month old son Zachary- for my Wife's Mother's Day card. Thought I'd share. Thanks! GarSeeYa!!!

Good God. Griffin. That's a name I haven't heard in almost 20 years.

Griffin- that was the second COMIC CREATORS group I got involved with. I did a little work with them, the project was never completed. They disappeared.
Joey Sayer still writes and works for the Calgary Public Library. Dave A. Law, apperently had a "How To.." comic website a while back. John Gallager did "BLOODWING?" in the early 90's (pencils/inks). Richard Pasveer (?) has had the most succes working with RADIO comics and ANTARTICA.
Then theres me...still waiting for that BIG project.
We keep at it, if we don't persue our dreams...we settle, and live a life with questions of "what if?"

<Dave A. Law, apperently had a "How To.." comic website a while back.> It's still up--I don't know whether it's been updated recently, but I'll often refer people who're just getting started to it: www.members.shaw.ca/creatingcomics/<Then theres me...still waiting for that BIG project.> It's coming. Patience... <We keep at it, if we don't persue our dreams...we settle, and live a life with questions of "what if?"> My standard "keep trying" comics creation pep talk usually concludes with something along the lines of "There's only one way to ensure you won't succeed, and that's to give up."
