We have been talking about bringing back ACCA meetings. We would keep the convention and the comic meetings as seperate entities. We will have to figure out a place to meet, but I have to say I was so impressed by the members of Maple Ink and the Calgary collecting community in terms of the positive attitude in an industry that has been negative for so long, I think we can really build into something. If anyone has any ideas please let us know.

If it's informal and you want eats, Gerry's Diner (formerly the Husky House) on 5th St and 12th Ave SW can host a dozen people or so in their front area.
The downtown library also has meeting rooms in their basement. They hold about 50 people, I would guess.
It depends on how many people would show up.

Nice and central... have they changed the lighting any since they changed hands? It seemed a tad dark last time I was there (but that was a while ago)

I used to go there all the time when it was the Husky House. We could use it depending on the number of people who attend, but I seem to remember that they hate people who just buy coffee and loiter around.
If we were to do these meetings, what exactly would we discuss? Are there activities or just banter?

I'd love to get the meetings started again. They seemed a little lack luster when I first started going back in 2000, but started getting better right before they stopped completely. I think if we keep them interactive, casual and fun, people would make it a point to stop by! Woooooo! Smokies!

I have been informed that there have been some changes with the ACCA directors and membership?
Will this effect shows in the future?
What are some of the goals the ACCA would like to achieve?
GGG.
