Welcome to the boards. Do you have a webpage with some of your works? I would be interested in seeing it.

Hey Rik!
I just wanted to thank you for the excellent work done by your company (WC). I am very happy with the final product, and had some people inquire about the source.
I hope to see you at the ACCA show on the 28th! Still, I will pop into the shop to chat and get more work done.
If you have anymore questions about the forum, please feel free to ask... and the is always the HELP button for FAQ?
Welcome to MIC!
Thanks.
GGG.

Condom comics!hahahahahaha.
How many condoms were given away? About 1300 or so..and yes, I wouldn't recomend cracking one open to please the ladies.
Looking back now, the controversy seems so lame!
Back in Red Deer, in the early 90's, I published an anthology humour comic book called 'Demented Comix'. The Aids Network society approached me to do some cartoon promo for them when, at one meeting, my contact at the society and I had an idea. They needed to get their message about safer sex (via free condoms)out there, and I was publishing an underground comic with no budget for advertising.
Once we married the two, the media was all over it ! The highly religious population of 'Dead Rear' took offense to the book, worried that children would have access to it.
Soon, the local paper did stories on me, the Calgary T.V. and newspapers followed, the Edmonton T.V. stations and newspapers continued, CBC did a story, and I was invited as a guest on a local talk show where people could call in for a half hour and state their opinion.Oh, and I was also in the now extinct Alberta Report.
I sold out of the first issue soon after with the second issue selling out in about a week (the infamous first condom comic). A third issue sold out, when I decided to go big!(ah, the naivete)
I started a company (Rad Graphics), went to the bank and got laughed out of every one. Unsuccessful in my pursuit to start a full-fledged comic book company, I did the next best thing...I relaunched the book in the underground with another additional series (Vagabonds), but even with the help of several talented friends, the workload stressed us out,(along with no pay) and we soon parted ways, as each of us went off to do something new.
That's the story of the 'Condom Comics" promo.
